NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey has experienced significant growth in population, thereby increasing the number of registered voters. 2) That the City of Ramsey voters would be better served by the addition of voting precincts. 3) That the City Council accepts the precinct map and the boundary lines as presented and described. 4) That the City Council also accepts the polling places researched and recommended by staff. s) That the Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to execute this resolution and send a certified copy to the Secretary of the State of Minnesota and the Anoka County Elections Department. 6) That the precinct changes become effective December 1, 1999. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28o` day of September 1999.
