ORDINANCE NO. 99- <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT TAX <br />SUBDISTRICT IN THE CITY OF RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Authority_ <br /> <br /> The City of Ramsey is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Sections 444.16 through <br />444.21 (the "Act") to establish storm sewer improvement tax districts for the purposes of <br />constructing and financing storm sewers and related facilities. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Findings <br /> <br /> The City hereby finds and determines that it is necessary and desirable for the health, <br />safety and welfare of its residents and for the proper control of storm drainage and flooding <br />in the City to use the authority contained in the Act to establish a storm sewer improvement <br />tax subdistrict (the "Subdistrict"). The purpose of the Subdistrict shall be to finance through <br />a tax the cost of acquisition, construction, reconstruction, extension, maintenance and other <br />improvements to storm sewer systems and related facilities within the Subdistrict as <br />prescribed in the Act. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Boundaries of District <br /> <br /> The Mississippi River Drainage Subdistrict No. 1 is established. The boundaries of <br />the Subdistrict are as follows: <br /> <br /> See attached Exhibit "A" containing legal descriptions <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Effeetive Date <br /> <br /> This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its <br />publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04. <br /> <br /> <br />
