PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 1999, <br />at the Rarnsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Norman <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chi&Dean Kapler <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:35 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: End Probationary Period Extension of Finance Clerk Joan Smith <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that Joan Smith assumed the position of <br />Finance Clerk on September 21, 1998. The City Council, on April 23, 1999, approved a six- <br />month extension to Joan's probationary period in order to further evaluate the position. The six- <br />month extension from Council action will end on October 21, 1999. Joan's one-year anniversary <br />date is September 21, 1999. A review by Finance Officer Lund the week of September 7, 1999, <br />showed Joan's performance to be acceptable. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to recommend that City <br />Council approve resolution ending the probationary status of employee Joan Smith, and granting <br />her the status of regular, full-time Finance Clerk, effective on Joan's one-year anniversary of <br />September 21, 1999. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/October 12, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
