I
I
I
I
I
,I
I

i

I

CASE #1

APPROVE CENTRAL PARK PLAY EQUIPMENT DESIGN
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Background:

The purpose of this case is to approve the design of Central Park's $51,000 play structure. As
the Commission will recall, it was the earlier consensus that the volunteer installation should be
deferred until Spring of 2000. The attached City Council case reflects this timing and is
contingent upon the Park and Recreation Commission approving the play structure design that
will be available at the meeting. It has been confirmed that St. Croix Recreation will provide the
model, which was required as part of the proposal process.

Commission Action:

Recommend that City Council declare Central Park's play equipment surplus property and
authorize purchase of the $51,000 play structure.

Reviewed by:

Copies also distributed to:

Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Finance Officer
Director of Public Works

PR: 12/9/99
