RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BODY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />One 3" Deluge <br />DELUGE WATERWAY <br /> <br />There shall be a fixed deluge pipe mounted above the fire pump with a 3" waterway. Deluge <br />pipe shall be plumbed with a 3" pipe and a 3" valve controlled from the pump operator's panel. <br />There shall be a 3/4" drain furnished and installed for the deluge waterway. (NFPA 12-7.5) <br /> <br />Deluge Pipe Located Center Above Pump <br />DELUGE WATERWAY LOCATION <br /> <br />Deluge pipe shall be located in the center above the pump. <br />Elkhart Stinger or equivalent with portable base and stock tips. <br /> <br />1 3/4" Speedlay Hose Bed <br />SPEEDLAY ASSEMBLY <br /> <br />(Ahead of Pump) <br /> <br />There shall be two speedlay hose beds piped with 2" pipe or hose and 2 "valves. Each speedlay <br />hose bed shall have adequate space for 200 feet of 1 3/4" hose. The floors of the speedlay shall <br />provide proper ventilation and rapid deployment. (NFPA 1901 STD 6-2.1.b) <br /> <br />There shall be Two - 1 3/4" speedlay hose beds located above in front of the fire pump. The <br />speedlay hose bed shall be stacked one on top of the other. Each speedlay shall have a 90 degree <br />swivel elbow with 1 1/2" NST threads. The speedlay pipes shall be connected directly to the <br />pump and drain back through the pump manifold. The speedlay hose bed assembly shall be <br />removable for access to the front of the fire pump. It is to be mounted no more than 5' from the <br />ground. <br /> <br />One 5" storz output on passenger side (or rear if possible). <br /> <br />Two 2 ½" rear discharge (one on each corner) <br /> <br />Two 2 ½" side discharge (one on each side by inlets) <br /> <br />Foam Capable outlets <br /> <br />All outlets shall be plumbed with foam except the 6" and the 2 ½" passenger side discharge. <br /> <br />Page 9 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
