Ramsy Fire CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS Tilt Cab CAB AND CHASSIS The cab and chassis shall be a Spartan Motors Metro Star or Equivalent, medium four door aluminum tilt cab 4-door Aluminum Tilt Cab METRO MFD TILT CAB The cab shall be a Spartan Motors (medium four door), tilt aluminum cab, capable of seating 6 firefighters. The side rear door windows shall be roll-down type. The front doors shall have a full roll down window. exterior door latches, suitable for use with firefighter mittens, shall be provided on all cab side doors. Interior latches shall be suitable for use with firefighter mitten. The cab shall be of the Eumspace interior design allowing for easy communication inside the cab The rear cab wall shall be min .125" thick aluminum. The rear floor to the headliner shall be rain 55.75" high. The seat riser for the rear facing seats shall be a minimum of 39.00" from the back wall. The cab front skin and floor shall be .19" thick aluminum. The inside width shall be min 88.00" and the front floor to headliner shall be rain 58.00" high. All glass used in the cab shall be automotive tint. All cab windows shall be the same height as the windshield to provide full panoramic visibility. Interior of the cab shall have a vacuum formed dash and padded vinyl headliner. The cab floor shall be covered with a gray pebble grain, non-slip vinyl covered, foam backed, sound deadening, multi-layer insulating floor mat or equivalent. Rubber covered min 11" grab handles shall be installed inside the cab on the hinge post of each door opening to assist in entering and exiting the cab. A locking glove box shall be installed on the right hand side of the cab. Intermittent parallel arm-type electric wipers with separate motors and electric powered "wet arm" type windshield washers shall be provided. Page 1 of 19
