Ramsy Fire <br /> <br />CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />ONE YEAR CHASSIS WARRANTY <br /> <br />The chassis manufacturer shall warrant to the original purchaser the custom fire truck chassis for <br />a period of twelve (12) months or 24,000 miles, which ever comes first with the exception of the <br />actual fire apparatus chassis which carries a lifetime frame warranty. The warranty period shall <br />begin on the date the vehicle is delivered to the original purchaser. The warranty may include <br />conditional items which shall be listed in the detailed warranty document that shall be provided <br />upon request. <br /> <br />CAB WARRANTY <br /> <br />The cab shall be warranted for a period often (10) years. Warranty conditions may apply and <br />shall be listed in the detailed warranty document that shall be provided upon request. <br /> <br />FRAME <br /> <br />The frame side rails shall be channel type, 10 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/8" 110,000 psi heat treated steel, <br />with a RBM of 1,827,257 in.lbs, and a section modulus of 16.61 cu.in. <br /> <br />A minimum of seven (7) fully gusseted bolted assembly crossmembers shall be installed using <br />grade "8" flanged head bolts and flanged lock nuts. <br /> <br />The area between the axle suspension hangers shall be free of any holes or fasteners in the <br />flanges. No welding shall be incorporated in attachment of components. All frame dimensional <br />cutting shall be by a plasma cutter. All relief areas shall be cut in at a 30 degree angle with a two <br />inch radius at intersection points with edges ground smooth to prevent a stress focal point. <br /> <br />The frame shall carry a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. <br /> <br />Frame Paint~ Standard Black <br /> <br />The flame and running gear of the chassis shall be painted with a standard black paint. The <br />frame paint shall be applied before air lines and electrical wiring is installed, <br /> <br />WHEELBASE AND AFTER FRAME <br /> <br />The chassis wheelbase shall be max 205" measured from the centerline of the front axle to the <br />centerline of the rear axle. <br /> <br />Page 2 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
