RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BODY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />CHASSIS FUEL FILL DOOR <br /> <br />There shall be an aluminum fuel fill assembly located on the lef~ side of the apparatus body <br />directly behind the rear axle. The fuel fill assembly will have a polished aluminum frame with a <br />brushed aluminum door. There shall be a drain in the fuel fill assembly to allow over flow to <br />drain on the back side of the apparatus body. The fuel fill cap to be removable. There shall be a <br />label near the fuel fill door labeled 'DIESEL FUEL ONLY'. <br /> <br />The fuel fill pipe shall have a 3/8" inside diameter vent line installed from the top of the fuel tank <br />to the fill tube. <br /> <br />HORIZONTAL EXHAUST <br /> <br />The chassis shall have a horizontal exhaust system piped to the side of the apparatus body just <br />ahead of the rear wheels. (NFPA 1901 STD 3-2.5) <br /> <br />Waterous CSU-1500 Single Sta~e Midship Pump <br />WATEROUS PUMP <br /> <br />The pump shall be of single-stage construction and shall comply with all applicable requirements <br />of the latest standards for automotive fire apparatus of the National Fire Protection Association, <br />NFPA no. 1901. <br /> <br />Pump shall be free from objectionable pulsation and vibration under all normal operating <br />conditions. <br />Pump body shall be close-grained gray iron and must be horizontally split in tow sections for <br />easy removal of the entire impeller shaft assembly, and designed for complete servicing from the <br />bottom of the truck without disturbing setting of the pump in the chassis or apparatus piping <br />which is connected to the pump. Pump body halves shall be bolted together on a single <br />horizontal face to minimize leakage and facilitate reassembly. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
