that he is under contract with a company and could loose his job at anytime then the <br />neighborhood would be stuck looking at a large garage. He requested the Council assist with the <br />situation suggesting that they require him to store the vehicle at an off-sight storage. Mr. Green <br />expressed that it is not right that he has been given special privileges by the City when several <br />neighbors are being impacted by the problem. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if the construction of the garage require a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman explained that if the garage met all of the building <br />requirements a building permit would be issued, otherwise if the project would require any <br />variances than it would require a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman questioned if the truck is parked on the driveway. <br /> <br />Mr. Green replied yes, and explained that the truck is parked without chalk under the wheels, <br />which he noted is a requirement of OSHA, and that it is parked on a steep hilI. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the issue is something that the Council should look and consider <br />stricter enforcement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied that the position of the Council was that Staff would not <br />proactively go out and find things in violation, but review items on a complaint basis. <br /> <br />Mr. Green stated that the first complaint was made in May and the truck still sits in the driveway. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen requested that the item be added to the end of the agenda to discuss <br />what decisions have been made by the City regarding the issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to add the issue <br />as Case #15 to the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None.
