The remaining sealcoat project, #99-0t, is proposed to be assessed <br />$154.97 per unit, which is $44 less than anticipated at the time of the feasibility study in <br />February 1999. Three overlay projects had final costs ranging fi'om $20 to $266 less than those <br />proposed in the feasibility study. The overlay was thickened on this project in selected areas on <br />the advice of the project inspector, due to the rutted nature of the existing pavement. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion to by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmember, Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson questioned if individual home owners within a project have lots of <br />similar size. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that the projects are done as subdivisions so that all of the <br />assessed properties are similar in nature. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired what the legal implications are when the cost of a project <br />comes in higher then what was stated in the feasibility study. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the actual cost of the project cannot be higher than ten <br />percent of the feasibility study. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, <br />Resolution #99-09-__ through #99-09-~ <br />#99-01 and #99-04 through #99-07. <br /> <br />seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br /> adopting assessments for Improvement Projects <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.
