Rise to provide services to Anoka residents with specj.alized nee. ds, In researching the cost of constructing a bui!din_g and purchasing pr0pe .ny_, Rise determined it would be more ¢ost-effectiye to own a building rather than rent one. TO assist with this aspect of the project, the Ci~ of An0ka generously don..ated the land for the .building and the Enterprise Park businesses supported and approved Rise's addition to the area. Anoka CIP will be a cost-effective program, Its per diem will be $t.05 and combined with the residential per diem will total approximately $250 per person, State hospital per diems are $506, The cost of ~erving 20 p~ople for a year in communi .ty-based day and residential programs totals $1.8 milliorl and the cost of serving these same people in a state hospital totals $3.7..million, double the cost of c0mmuni .ty-based services. 3.
