The <br />project involves the acquisition of land to the west of the company which is <br />currently home to an automotive repair facility. Due to legal description problems <br />the property cannot be acquired by the owner of All Brite. <br /> <br />STATUS: City attorney Bill Goodrich and I met with the owners of J.A.C. Auto <br />Repair to discuss the project. A joint meeting will be held with JAC and All Brite to <br />identify solutions which will allow All Brite to expand at its current location. <br /> <br />MATE PRECISION TOOLING <br /> <br />PROJECT PROFILE: Within the next 24 months, the company is considering the <br />expansion of the business into a new 175,000 s.f. facility. The company's existing site <br />in Ramsey will not accommodate this expansion. <br /> <br />STATUS: Staff met with the company to discuss the possibility of expanding onto <br />the Dickenson property which is schedule for acquisition by the city. Due to <br />elevation constraints, the company does not feel that this option is viable. Other <br />options are currently being discussed with the potential movement of the company <br />to another site in Ramsey. <br /> <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK EXPANSION <br /> <br />PRO]ECT PROFILE: The city is working with AEC and UPA to design a plan to <br />undertake the development of another industrial park. The site under <br />consideration is known as the Macon Property. The site is 56 acres in size of which <br />it is believed that 51 are developable. <br /> <br />STATUS: The AEC Board has budgeted funds for 1998 for the development of an <br />industrial park or other business ventures. The project is currently under study to <br />determine the financial feasibility. <br /> <br />APM CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />PROJECT PROFILE: APM Construction is considering the development of a 29,600 <br />s.f. building in the in the Ramsey Business Park 95. The building will be the home <br />for North Star Die Casting Company. <br /> <br />STATUS: APM has submitted a preliminary site plan information for review by the <br />city.
