Plans call for the construction of a 35,'000 s. f. building. The company is a manufacturer of products for the medical industry. Approximately 35 jobs will be created in Ramsey with the expansion. STATUS: The company has selected a site in Coon Rapids closer to its existing facility. CAPCO PROJECT PROFILE: This company is represented by Copperwood Investments. The business is currently located in Ramsey. The company plans to build a 20,000 s.f. metal building on property immediately south of the AEC Energy Park. The owners are requesting TIF assistance to acquire the site under consideration. STATUS: Staff met with the owners of the company to discuss their project plans. TIF assistance was discussed at the staff level. It has been communicated back to the owners that the city will not provide TIF assistance for the type of structure they are proposing at the location they desire. Additional site options are being explored at this time. POLYMER INC. PROJECT PROFILE: This is an Indonesian company who plans to build a 100,000 s.f. manufacturing building in Ramsey. The company produces additives for the cement industry which gives the cement different properties. STATUS: We have met with company representatives to discuss options available in the City of Ramsey. The company considers Ramsey their #1 site for the new building. A meeting was held with the President of the company, Kusuma Chandra. We are awaiting a decision by the firm regarding further progress on the project.
