However, potential improvements to Peltzer Park is
the primary purpose of this mailer. The various projects are listed below and a site location map is
on a separate page.

.P~ELTZER PARK

Later this spring, City Council is expected to approve $35,000 for replacement of the 25 year old
play equipment that is in Peltzer Park and no longer meets municipal safety standards. The funding
is from Good Value Homes park dedication requirements for Regency Pond. Most of the above
moneys will be required for the playground purchase and installation. The Park and Recreation
Commission is very interested in your thoughts on the park redevelopment project and looks
forward to the receipt of the survey.

Last fall the majority of grading and construction of the access drive and parking lots were
.completed. Remaining for this spring is the ballfield construction, irrigation, seeding and
landscaping.

COTTONWOOD pARK

over one mile of paved path was constructed last fall in the 27 acre wetland park, including
connection to County Road #56 on the west and Sunwood Drive to the east. A 90' bridge or
boardwalk will be completed this summer allowing for a walking loop of almost a mile. '

SAVANNA TRAIL

By early summer, a paved path is expected to be in place cast of the Regency Pond subdivision from
County Road #116, north to the Garnet Street cul-de-sac. On the weekend of May 16, 1998,
volunteers are expected to plant 84 trees from a DNR grant in both this trail corridor and the
Cottonwood park site, (please see bulletin at the bottom of your site map).

I
I
I
!
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
