Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has been in negotiations with Craig Bjorklund of Bjorklund Ready Mix for <br />more than a year. The negotiations have included land exchange, land sale, and land acquisition <br />in exchange for tree preservation in order to protect and intensify the natural screening between <br />the heavy industrial uses on the east side of Unity Street and the light industrial uses on the west <br />side of Unity. City staff and the City Attorney recently completed negotiations with Bjorklund <br />Ready Mix and City Attorney Goodrich has provided a first draft of the Business Park 95 5th <br />Addition Development Agreement with Bjorklund Ready Mix. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Mayor and city Administrator to enter into <br />the Development Agreement with Bjorklund Ready Mix. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into the Development Agreement with <br />Bjorklund Ready Mix. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />CC: 04/28/98 <br /> <br />jmt/BP955Addn <br /> <br /> <br />
