In a nutshell, the problem <br />refers to a computer field code that cannot handle the conversion to the year 2000. For cities across <br />Minnesota, the problem could affect numerous records, information programs, and operating systems. Since <br />there could be a significant cost impact and even the complete shutdown of information and operating <br />systems necessary for the running of and preparation of financial information for the City, we want to join <br />in the groups of advisors telling their clients to prepare sooner rather than later to ensure that day-to-day <br />operations are not significantly impacted by this problem. <br /> <br />-15- <br /> <br /> <br />
