Ms. <br />Frolik stated the Planning Commission recommends site plan approval with a temporary <br />bituminous curb along the east property line and contingent upon compliance with the City Staff <br />review letter which will include relocating the waste enclosure, adding trees to the north property <br />line, and providing an acceptable lighting plan, City Staff recommends that the bituminous curb <br />along the east property llne be replaced with a concrete curb if the expansion to the east does not <br />occur within a five year time frame. <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen asked what is between Armstrong Boulevard and this site. <br /> <br />Ms. Prolik stated that Shorewood RV is in that location. <br /> <br />Hal Pierce, architect for the applicant, presented a colored rendering of the building exterior. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to grant site <br />plan approval to Holiday R..V. contingent upon compliance with the City Staffreview letter dated <br />May 28, 1998 and replacement of the bituminous curb in five years if expansion of the facility <br />does not occur. <br /> <br />Motion Carded. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Garnet complimented the applicant on this attractive project and welcomed them to the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Case itS: <br /> <br />Request for an Extension of Conditional Use Permit to Construct Accessory <br />Structures Prior to the Principal Structure; Case of David ]tansen, ~ansen <br />Tree Farm <br /> <br />It was noted that the City Code prohibits the construction of accessory buildings on a parcel <br />without the existence of a principal building on the property. On May 27, 1997, the Council <br />granted a conditional use perrrdt to David Hansen of the Hansen Tree Farm to construct two <br />accessory structures at their facility prior to there being a home or principal building on the <br />property. Unless an extension is granted by the Council, the City Code states that conditional use <br />permits are considered void unless the use is completed within 12 months of approval of the <br />permit. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik staled the Planning Commission un~anlrnously recommended that the Council approve <br />the six month extension. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve <br />the rextuest for extension of conditional use permit from David Hansen of the Hansen Tree Farm. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councitmernbers Haas Stcffen, Zimmerman, <br />Beahen, and Beyer.
