CITY OF RAMSEY I998-2003 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IPROJECT TITLE: SCADA System PROJECT TYPE: Water Utility Improvement PROJECT YEAR: 1998 TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $87,000 PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) will provide up-to-date control and information storage by integrating a computer based, radio telemetry system between 'the City's two well houses, sanitary lift station and City Hall computer network. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION PROJECT Start Date The components of the City's existing control system for operating the water utility dates back to the mid 198frs when the system was initially installed. Today's technology is capable of providing far super/or control over the system and is able to gather a substantial amount of very basic information which is beyond the capabilities &the City's current system.
