The current
working draft of the Comprehensive Plan shows thc proposed designation of thc site
as high density residential, which would be consistent with rezoning the property for
a senior housing project. Furthermore, the development of senior housing is a
recommended goal within the current working draft of the land use plan and a
suggested policy to achieve that goal is for the City to facilitate such development.
(See working draft of future land use element dated July 7, 1998.)

JD~: The working draft of the land use plan indicates a density range o f 7 to 15
units per acre for high-density developments. The senior housing project appears to
be within the suggested density range.

~cle Hous~g: Part of the vision residents have for thc future community is the
ability to continue living in Ramsey from the time they move into their first place of
their own to the time they wish to no longer own a homc. To achiewc this vision,
Ramsey needs to encourage development oflife-cycle housing. This project is
consistent with providing a housing type that is not currently present in the Rarnsey
community.

~'mage_: Residents are continually concerned about image, not just as it relates to
improving the Highway 10 corridor but throughout the community as well. The
worldng draf~ of the Comprehensive Plan contains a policy to require and enforce
high design standards for multi-family residential development.
