! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize hiring BCL Appraisal Services, at a cost of $6,500, to appraise the 13 <br />homestead properties to be acquired for the Trunk Highway #47 project.. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Change Order No. 3 to Improvement'Project #98-13, Well No. 4 Pumping <br />Facility <br /> <br />The City had authorized an alternate at the time of bidding award, which anticipated providing a <br />temporary control panel so that the well could be used during the peak summer demand period. <br />The permanent control panel would not be available until September. It was anticipated that the <br />well pump would be available to place in the well. However, because there was an extended <br />period of well development, the final well was not ordered as soon as had been anticipated, and <br />consequently is not available now that the temporary control panel is in place and the well is <br />ready to start producing water. <br /> <br />Change Order No. 3 is in the amount of $2,000 to cover the installation and removal of a <br />temporary pump by the contractor. The money is expected to come from the project budget, <br />which will be less than the award amount. Some moneys have been saved on restoration, which <br />will not be necessary because of the County Road #116 project. The Road and Bridge <br />Committee recommended approval of the change order. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approve Change Order No. 3 for Improvement Project #98-13 in the amount of <br />$2,000. <br /> <br />Case #7: Order Public Hearing for Improvement Project #98-16 <br /> <br />Because of improper public notice, the public hearing for Improvement Project #98-16, the <br />bituminous paving of Bison Street needs to be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to schedule the public hearing for Improvement Project #98-16, Bituminous paving of <br />Bison Street, for 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 11, 1998. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Director of Public Works <br />City Attorney <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />CC: 07/28/98 <br /> <br />jo/RepRB, doc <br /> <br /> <br />
