CASE # <br /> <br /> REVIEW PROPOSED ORDINANCE IDENTIFYING THOSE AREAS <br />OF THE CITY WHICH ARE NOT REQUIRED TO CONNECT TO CITY <br />SEWER AND WATER <br /> By: William K. Goodrich~ City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Council has directed that an ordinance be drafted to define those areas of the <br />City which, based on the Comprehensive Plan, will not be required to connect to City <br />sewer and water. The attached draft ordinance is intended to respond to the Council's <br />direction on this subject and is recommended by the City's Planning Consultant. This <br />ordinance is intended to supplement those "anti-extension" safeguards which are already <br />in place and identified in a Council case from the City Attorney to the City Council <br />included in your June 23, 1998 agenda, another copy of which is attached hereto. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Council review the ordinance language and determine if it <br />accomplishes the Council's intended goal.
