Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-09- RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE EXTENSION OF MCKINLEY STREET IN RAMSEY BUSINESS PARK 95 FIFTH ADDITION (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-18) WltEREAS, on September 8, 1998, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #98- 09-218, pursuant to an advertisement for bids, awarding the contract for Improvement Project #98-18 (Business Park 95 5th Addition Extension of McKinley Street and Sanitary Sewer and Watermain) to Julian M. Johnson Construction Corp. in the amount of $176,017.50; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that in extending McKinley Street to provide access to Airgas North Central, it is in the City's best interest to construct a full width (44 feet) commercial/industrial street in lieu of the 28-foot-wide street section provided for in Schedule "E" of the bid award; and WHEREAS, a Contract Change Order has been proposed to increase the street width of the McKinley Street Extension from 28 feet to 44 feet at a cost of $7,268.40. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as foIlows: 1) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 1 which increases the width of the McKinley Street extension (Improvement Project #98-18) from 28 feet to 44 feet at a cost of $7,268.40. 2) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of September, 1998.
