Case #4: <br /> <br />Street Maintenance Program Assessments <br /> <br />The City Engineer reviewed street assessment issues which are associated with the 1998 <br />Street Maintenance Program assessment hearing Scheduled for tonight's (September 22) <br />meeting. <br /> <br />No action is necessary. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Update on T.H. #47 <br /> <br />The public hearing on the EAW will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 1998, from <br />5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a presentation at 7:00 p.m. The document is available for <br />review at City Hall and at the Rum River Branch of the Anoka County Library. <br /> <br />A pedestrian crossing, either an underpass or overpass would be eligible for 80% <br />Federal funding providing the cap amount of the grant is not exceeded. The City <br />Engineer was directed to identify the estimated amount available. <br /> <br />A meeting to discuss incorporating ancillary City drainage projects including the <br />outlet for the proposed senior housing and potential Lord of Life development will be <br />held with the engineering consultant, SRF, Inc., the week of September 20, 1998. <br /> <br />· Appraisals of the remaining twelve homestead properties which need to be acquired <br /> in their entirety have been initiated. <br /> <br />No Council action is necessary. <br /> <br />Case//6: Change Order for Improvement Project #98-18 <br /> <br />This case was added to the prepared agenda. As a part of the Northern Air Gas <br />development, the City has agreed to construct a driveway within the Outlot that would <br />serve as the eastern extension of McKinley Street. The cost of this driveway which has <br />been bid as a 24-foot wide driveway, could be widened to the full 44-foot width of <br />McKinley Street for an additional $7,000. See attached letter from Peter Raatikka. <br /> <br />The Committee recommended issuing a change order in the amount of $7,000 to facilitate <br />the widening of this driveway to 44 feet. <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution//98-09-~ authorizing a Change Order in the amount of <br />$7,000 for Improvement Project #98-18.
