The following items are enclosed for your information: a) b) c) d) e) g) h) Site location map Letter of application Site plan Project description ..: Four letters of support and one letter of opposition from neighboring property owners Draft Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated November 2, 1998 Proposed findings of fact Proposed home occupation permit Notification: State statuto requires notification of public hearing to property owners within 350 feet of the subject property. Staff attempted to notify persons within 500 feet of the subject property. Observations: Renee Juliano is proposing to establish a one-chair hair salon in her home. City Code restricts home occupations to 20% of the gross floor area of the home. The room in which the home occupation will be conducted is 110 square feet which equates to 5% of the gross floor area. Renee will be the sole employee and she expects to service a maximum of 40 clients a week. She is requesting a 4 days a week operation with the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays; noon to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Her shop would be closed Mondays, Thursdays, Sundays, Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoons. Renee has stated that her business would operate on an appointment only basis and scheduled so as to avoid the need for any on-street parking.
