NOV.-10'98(TUE) ]6:23 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, TEL:612 421 95ii P,O]2 <br /> <br />PUBLIC ]~rEARING <br />PLANNING COMlVi~SSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE O1~ M/NN~SOTA <br /> <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, November 2, 1998, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding a <br />request for a home occupation permit; ease ofRenee Juliano. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Leo Anderson <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner loe Wivoda <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Sharon <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Commun{ty Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer convened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained Ms. Julia. no is proposing to establish a one-chair barber <br />shop in her home. City Code restricts home occupations to 20-percent ofthe gross floor area of <br />the home. The room in which the home occupation will be conducted is 110 square feet which <br />equates to 5-percent of the gross floor area. Ms. Juliano will be the sole employee. She expects <br />to service a maximum of 40 clients per week and operate four days a week, Ms. J'uliano has <br />statements of support from four neighboring property owners. One letter of opposition was <br />received. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INI't/T <br /> <br />Paul Anderson, 14643 Waco Street NW, indicated not opposing the business, however, opposed <br />p~king in the cul-de-sac and on Waco Street NW.
