I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> CASE # <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING SERVICES <br /> By: Cindy Sherman, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has been working since August 1997 with Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. (HKGi) to <br />develop a comprehensive plan consistent with the State Land Planning Act. The contract for the <br />services included two meetings with the Planning Commission and City Council. With the <br />meeting held on November 17 and the meeting scheduled for December 9, 1998 and any future <br />meetings (except the scheduled public hearing) we have exceeded our contract. We have <br />discussed this with HKGi and they are requesting an amendment to the contract at a fee not to <br />exceed $500 per meeting. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the Council approve an amendment to the contract with HKGi to allow a fee <br />of up to $500 per meeting from November 17 until completion of the plan except for the public <br />hearing which was included in the original contract. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />To approve the amendment to the contract with HKGi for a fee not to exceed $500 per meeting <br />for additional meetings necessary to complete the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 11/24/98 <br /> <br />g:\users\cindy~hkgi.doc <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
