Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for it's adoption; RESOLUTION # 98- RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECEIPT OF AN AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, in July of 1998, the Ramsey Police Department applied for a grant from the Department of Public Safety for an Automatic External Defibrillator Unit. WHEREAS, on November 16, 1998, the Department of' Public Safety selected the Ramsey Police Department as a recipient of (1) Laerdal / Heartstream Defibrillator Unit at no cost to the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA; as follows I. That the City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of (1) Laerdal / Heartstream Automatic Defibrillator Unit from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. 2. That the City Council authorizes Police Chief David Gustafson to sign off on the grant agreement between the State of Minnesota and the City of Ramsey for the acceptance of this unit. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: And the following voted against the same: And the following abstained: And the following were absent: WHEREUPON the said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this __ day of December, 1998 Mayor Tom Gamee I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
