Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />2/3/98 <br /> <br />The Planning Commission approved the sketch plan for Peterson <br />Addition and recommended City Council grant final plat approval. <br />Forward to City Council. <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />2/3/98 <br /> <br />Upon request from the applicant, the Planning Commission tabled <br />the request for site plan review of Carlson Collision Center. <br />Application has been withdrawn. <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />213/98 <br /> <br />Regarding Scott & Gwen Simpson's request for a CLIP for a two- <br />family dwelling unit in the Single-Family District: The Planning <br />Commission voted to adopt the Findings of Fact with the <br />following amendments: (14) Indicate the use will not adversely <br />impact traffic in the area. (15) Indicate the use will not be <br />dangerous or detrimental to persons residing or working in the <br />vicinity. (16) Indicate the use will substantially or adversely <br />impair the use, enjoyment or market value of surrounding <br />properties. (17) Indicate the use will not be maintained to be <br />harmonious in appearance with the existing and intended character <br />of the R-1 Rural Residential District. (18) Indicate the use will be <br />adequately served by essential public services. (19) Indicate the <br />use will not create excessive additional requirements at public cost <br />for public facilities and services. The Planning Commission then <br />voted to recommend that City Council deny the Simpson's request <br />based on the Findings of Fact. Forward to Council. <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />2/3/98 <br /> <br />Regarding the proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 9.112.02. <br />Subd. 12 (Accessory Buildings), of the City Code to allow metal <br />accessory structures on properties two acres and greater in size, <br />and add design standards for such metal accessory structures on <br />parcels two to five acres in size: The Planning Commission voted <br />to amend the language regarding design criteria to require that the <br />size of the soffit, fascia and eaves match the house, and they <br />recommended adoption of the amended proposed ordinance by <br />City Council.
