Consult with MNRRA officials to <br />receive suggestions and guidance. <br /> <br />Conduct public hearings to receive <br />input from citizens regarding <br />proposed ordinance revisions. <br /> <br />Draft ordinance revisions. <br /> <br />Revise and adopt ordinances to <br />meet state requirements. <br /> <br />expect to have those suggestions in late February for our <br />review. <br /> <br />We will continue to work with the DNR and the City of <br />Dayton to also include the requirements of the Wild and <br />Scenic designation requirements for our area. <br /> <br />There have been two meetings to discuss the process, and <br />information and resource needs of the City, to achieve <br />the goals set forth in the grant agreement. <br /> January 23, 1998: Goals and process discussion <br />regarding MNRRA and Wild and Scenic Rivers act <br />update for the Mississippi with Tom Hovey, Sandy Fecht <br />and Alan Robbins-Fenger <br /> January 29, 1998:' Mississippi River Corridor <br />Discussion - Northern MNRRA and Critical Area <br />Communities <br /> <br />Also, consultants from Hoesington Koegler Group Inc. <br />met with MNR.RA officials on November 6, 1997, on <br />behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey will continue to work with the DNR <br />and Met Council throughout the process. <br /> <br /> In addition, consultants from HKG, Inc. have assisted the City with information <br />mapping of the river corridor, including identification of nattlral features, historical and <br />cultural framework, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. <br /> <br /> <br />
