tion, including of course being free of all internal or
external parasites that could affect people. The dogs in
question are valuable show dogs and are maintained as such.

We currently own 8 adult Belgian Tervuren show dogs. How-
ever, because we have a contract with a profesional show dog
handler in Texas two dogs reside with the handlers in Texas
at all times except for brief periods when the two dogs come
home and two others prepare to leave. ALL of our dogs
reside in the house; no dogs live outside and dogs are NEVER
left outside at any time when we are not home. They are
simply too valuable to ever consider leaving them unattended
and of course we would not allow them to disturb our neigh-
bors. There are two outside dog runs on our property as
shown on the attached site drawing. These runs came with the
property and we do not use them.

Approximately two acres of our property is fenced for the
dogs to run and exercise when we are home. This is a double
fence, with both traditional wire fencing and "invisible"
fencing to ensure that our dogs remain on our property. The
property is kept mowed and maintained in an estheticly
pleasing manner. There are never more than three dogs on the
two acres at any given time. Our dogs are NEVER off of our
property, although we'll admit we've had problems with
neighbor dogs running loose and defecating in our front yard
in the past. Most of our dogs came to us surgically
"debarked". Those that do have a "normal" bark are not
allowed to bark for more than a moment before they are
stopped or brought in. There are a number of barking dogs
in our area who are housed outdoors and we have had concerns
that people would think that OUR dogs were doing the
barking, but they simply are not allowed to do so. Feces
are picked up on a regular basis and disposed of in a sealed
garbage can that is out of sight and smell of neighbors.

We do have plans for privacy fencing as shown on the site
drawing that will effectively block our dog's view of any
neighbor's property (and our neighbor's view of ours) but
have postponed the project until we have a decision from the
city regarding this application.

We are extremely responsible pet owners. Much of our day is
spent educating our clients on responsible dog care and
training at our veterinary clinic in Osseo. We believe in
