TEMPE CODE <br /> <br /> Landscape plan: A plan prepared to scale showing elements such as trees, shrubs, ground <br />cover, vines, sculpture, all walls, lighting, other organic and inorganic materials and an automatic <br />irrigation system. The plan shall incIude a plant list, indicating the size and name, both botanical <br />and "generic," of all plant material to be used. <br /> <br /> Sign: Any device providing identification, advertising or directional information for a specific <br />business, service, product, person, organ$~tion, place or building. Included in this definition of <br />signs are graphic devices such as logo sculpture and obtrusively colored fascia or architectural <br />elements, banners, balloons, streamers, search lights, flags, inflatable structures, merchandise <br />displays, accessory lights and other attention-attracting media and devices. <br /> <br /> Site plan: A plan prepared to scale showing all the uses proposed for a specific property. The <br />plan shall show all dimensions, buildings, structures, signs, off-street parking layouts, loading <br />spaces, points of ingress and egress, all walls, refuse locations,, walkways, all rights-of-way, <br />measured to and shown to the centefline of streets, alleys, a Ioeation map, complete site data and <br />any additional information which may be necessary to clearly define the intended use of the site. <br /> <br /> Structure: Any piece of work artifieially built up or composed of parts joined together in <br />some definite manner. <br />(Ord. No. 86.52, § 1, 7-24-86) <br /> <br />Sec. i1-4. Establishment of the board. <br /> <br /> (a) There is hereby established a design review board for the city to be composed of seven <br />(7) members and an alternate. The alternate shall serve at the board meetings whenever a regular <br />board member is unable to attend or must decline due to a conflict of interest. The members shalI <br />be selected from residents of the city by the mayor with the approval of the city council. The <br />terms of the members shall be for three (3) years and shall be so staggered that the terms of at <br />least two (2), but not more than three (3) members shall conclude in any given year. <br /> <br /> -Co) The board shall establish such rules and procedures as.are necessary for.the performance <br />of its duties; provided, that the rules and procedures shall not be in conflict with the provisions <br />of this chapter. <br /> <br /> (c) Meetings shall be open to the public and shall be at the cai1 of the chairman or as may <br />otherwise be established in the rules of the board. Minutes of the board's proceedings and actions <br />shall be kept and filed in the community development department. Four (4) members shall <br />constitute a quorum of the'board and four (4) affirmative votes shall be required to approve an <br />application. <br /> <br /> (d) At least two (2) members of the board and the alternate shall be architects, landscape <br />architects or otherwise qualified by design background, training or experience. <br /> <br />2.o <br /> <br />1 I-2 <br /> <br /> <br />
