Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-12- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY FROM R-1 RURAL RESIDENTIAL TO R-1 URBAN RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received an application to rezone certain property in accordance <br />with Section 9.03.03 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Arcon Development, Inc. and Reilley Estates Partnership, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Applicants," has properly applied to rezone certain property from R-1 Rural Residential to <br />R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of the <br />City Code on December 3, 1998, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of Section 24, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Government Lots 2 and 3; and the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, except the <br />South 660.0 feet of the West 181.5 feet; and the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, <br />except the West 1206.0 feet and except the South 660.0 feet; and EXCEPT those portions <br />platted as REILLEY ESTATES and REILLY ESTATES 3RD ADDITION. ("Subject <br />Property") <br /> <br />That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately seventy (75) acres in size. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is currently zoned R-1 Rural Residential and the surrounding <br />adjacent properties to the west, north and east, also in the Metropolitan Urban Service Area, <br />are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />That Section 9.20.03 of the Ramsey City Code states that the intent of the R-1 Rural <br />Residential District is to accommodate single-family dwelling units on land outside the <br />Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />That Section 9.20.03 of the Ramsey City Code states that the intent of the R-1 Urban <br />Residential District is to accommodate single-family dwelling units on land inside the Urban <br />Service Area. <br /> <br /> <br />
