Water Projects (continued) <br /> <br />anticipated to meet this goal through projected demand to year 2000. (An update of our <br />Comprehensive Plan should be done to verify this estimate). The construction of Well No. 2~ is <br />in progress. The well itself has been drilled. To complete the project, a well pump, valving and <br />a connecting water needs to be completed. The completed total project cost including <br />construction and project overhead is estimated to be $400,000. <br /> <br />Watermain Looping <br /> 153rdfr.H. #47 <br /> <br />This improvement would consist of installing approximately 1,700 feet of twelve-inch trunk <br />watermain connecting the eastern terminus of the Brandseth subdivision watermain to the <br />northern terminus in the Willow Ridge subdivision watermain. This would complete a major <br />trunk watermain loop and provide a second supply source to the Brandseth subdivision. This <br />project should be undertaken in conjunction with the T.H. #47 work since it will eliminate <br />expensive boring and jacking work. In addition, a portion of the costs associated with restoration <br />would be absorbed by the highway project. Some restoration costs will be necessary to restore <br />the portion of 153rd Avenue not included in the highway project. The costs of the projects <br />consist of the construction and overhead cost which is estimated to be $190,000. <br /> <br />Watermain Looping <br /> C.S.A.H. #5/T.H. #47 <br /> <br />This improvement would consist of installing approximately 2,100 feet of twelve-inch trunk <br />watermain which would complete a very significant loop near the elevated water tower. The <br />improvement would connect the water systems southern terminus at Amber Ridge to the northern <br />terminus of Rivers Bend 4th across T.H. #47 to the water tower. The looping should be <br />undertaken as a portion of the T.H. #47 work, since it will eliminate expensive boring and <br />jacking work, as well as most restoration costs which will be absorbed by the highway work. <br />The project costs include construction and overhead. The total project cost is estimated to be <br />$100,000. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Projects <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Extension <br /> T.H. #47 Crossing <br /> <br />A ten-inch sanitary sewer currently terminates at the end of Xkimo Street in the Rivers Bend 4th <br />subdivision. This project would extend the sanitary sewer to the northwest comer of the <br />relocated intersection of T.H. #47 and C.S.A.H. #5, a distance of approximately 230 feet. This <br />sewer could be extended to service the Lord of Life property between T.H. #47 and C.S.A.H. #5. <br />This work should be undertaken in conjunction with the T.H. #47 project since it would <br />eliminate expensive boring and jacking costs and restoration costs which will be absorbed by the <br /> <br /> <br />
