I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />#: / <br /> <br />SET DATE FOR 1997 COMMISSION APPRECIATION DINNER <br /> By: Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In April 1996, the Mayor and Council hosted the first Commissioner Appreciation dinner during <br />volunteer week. Current and past commissioners, commission staff and elected officials were <br />invited, along with their quests. Of 92 potential attendees, 62 attended at a total cost of $1,275. <br />The dinner was held at Majestic Oaks and we received several letters and many compliments <br />from commissioners about the event. <br /> <br />The 1997 budget includes $1,800 for a similar event. In order to give commissioners plenty of <br />lead time to put it on their calendars, we need to establish the date.
