I <br /> I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />RECOMMEND 1997 FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS <br />By: Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Four officer positions in the Fire Department were due for review and reappointment in 1997: <br />one captain, one lieutenant, one training officer, and one secretary. Fire Chief Dean Kapler has <br />completed performance appraisals on all officers. He and Assistant Chief Tom Hoxter <br />interviewed applicants for the openings. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Fire Chief is recommending that the following fire fighters be appointed to the open officer <br />positions in the department: <br /> <br />Captain # 11: - <br />Lieutenant #1: <br />Training Officer: <br />Secretary: <br /> <br />Reappoint Steve Wilson at an annual salary of $948; <br />Appoint Jon McLaughlin at an annual salary of $540; <br />Appoint Ron Lemm at an annual salary of $672; <br />Leave position vacant for lack of applicants (annual salary is $360). <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that Council approve appointments to Fire Department Officer positions. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrfitor <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br /> <br />PC 02/11/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
