Develop and oversee special programs including crime prevention and drug <br /> demand reduction programs; implement, monitor and evaluate plans and <br /> programs. <br />2. Establish and oversee policies, procedures, standards and practices for the <br /> department to ensure a safe and efficient operation. <br />3. Assist other agencies such as the county, area communities, and the Minnesota <br /> State Highway Patrol as needed. <br />4. Determine department equipment needs; acquire equipment as needed including <br /> vehicles, operational equipment, weapons and office supplies. <br />5.
