3) Review and Adopt the 1998 Budget Calendar <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that the Finance Committee reviewed the 1998 budget calendar and directed one <br />amendment. During the week of July 7 - 18, they added that the Finance Committee would be <br />included in the work sessions as opposed to doing that the week of August 4 - 8. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution g07-02-048 approving the City of Ramsey's 1998 Budget Calendar, as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Consider Membership in Joint MPRS Affirmative Action Program <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that the Finance Committee recommended City participation in the joint MPRS <br />aff'n-mative action program. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br />Resolution g97-02-049 authorizing the City to participate in joint affunnative action activities to <br />comply with the November 1996 court order in the MPRS lawsuit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Consider Possible Appeal of Court Order in MPRS Lawsuit <br /> <br />Ms. Hart announced this case discussion is closed to the public. The action will be recorded <br />following the adjournment of the regular meeting. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Mayor's Prayer Breakfast <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to have the City sponsor <br />two tables at the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast scheduled for 7:15 a.m., March 20, 1997, at <br />Greenhaven. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman.
