Anoka County has a bare pavement policy. Build up of sand or dirt on CR
63 will not be tolerated. Clean up operations will be a requirement of the
permit. Failure to keep CR 63 free of build up of sand or dirt will result in
revocation of permit.

A stop sign will be required at the haul road access. All trucks must stop
before entering CR 63. If stop sign violations are observed by this
department or if we receive substantiated reports of stop sign violations a
flagging operation with a full time flag person must be implemented.

Trucks Hauling signs will be required for eastbound and westbound CR 63.
Signs are to be placed approximately 700 feet in advance of the haul road
access. Shape, size, color and installation of Trucks Hauling signs are to
be in accordance with the Minnesota Manual on Traffic Control Devices.
Trucks Hauling signs are to removed or covered (fold up signs may be
used) when hauling operations are not in progress. This includes overnight
suspension of hauling operations.

Slopes for the temporary access are to be 6:1 or flatter. If a culvert is
required for this access it must include 6:1 safety aprons with trash gaurds.

If you have any questions regarding these comments please feel free to call me at
754-3520.

Sincerely,

Roger Butler
Traffic Engineering Coordinator

XC~

Jane Pemble, Traffic Engineer
Josie Scott, Permit Technician

i
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
