§ 8.30 <br /> <br />the plumbing inspector shall notify the licensee of the proposed action describing <br />the cause and stating that a hearing shall be held if request by him prior to formal <br />action by the City Council. <br /> <br />Licensees shall maintain soil test data, system plans and other records and <br />information as may be required by the administrator for the purpose o£ <br />determining compliance with this chapter. Records relating to any system <br />installation or renovation shall be retained for a period of three years following <br />completion of that activity, and copies of the s~me shall be transmitted to the <br />plumbing inspector. Licensees shall make available all information, files and <br />records, _~nd other information required to be maintained to the administrator at <br />any time on the transmission of a reasonable request rela~ing thereto. Pump- <br />Hauler licensees shall keep records of the location of disposal of p-roped septage <br />and date of disposal. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />8.30.06 <br /> <br />M-intenance. <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Municipal <br /> <br />Routine Cleaning. As stated in §8.30.05 Subd. 2c, each waste <br />disposal system shall be inspected on a biennial basis. <br />Maintenance of the system shall be required when the sludge <br />reaches a point 12 inches below the bottom of the outlet baffle <br />and/or the sum reaches a point 3 inches above the bottom of the <br />outlet baffle. <br /> <br />At the instruction of the plumbing inspector or his designated <br />representative, the owner shall pump his septic tank. Semi- <br />annual pumping may be required as normal routine <br />maintenance. A certificate of pumping and a pumping permit <br />shall be required and can be obtained from the plumbing <br />inspector. One copy of the pumping permit, containing the <br />information specified on the p~=mping form shall be returned to <br />the plumbing inspector and kept on file. For systems equipped <br />with a distribution mud/or dosing box, the owner shall arrange for <br />the opening of the box and removal of any settIed solids therein at <br />least once a year. At the time of cleaning, the plumbing inspector <br />shall certify that sc;=m and/or sludge levels have been reduced to <br />acceptable levels. <br /> <br />Scheduling ~nd notification.
