I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION TO REALLOCATE 1995 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS AND ALLOCATE <br />ADDITIONAL 1997 CDBG FUNDS <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In March the City Council identified the following planning needs: a) a Housing <br />element to the Comprehensive Plan; b) An Environmental element to the <br />Comprehensive Plan; b) A needs assessment for senior housing in the community. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />At the March 25 Council meeting, the Finance Committee recommended to Council that <br />the $23,769.00 in CDBG funds for historic preservation of the old schoolhouse and <br />$3,231.00 from the 1997 unallocated CDBG fund balance be applied to the above listed <br />planning projects. Staff was directed to prepare a resolution for Council adoption. <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />It is necessary to conduct an additional public heating to reallocate the 1995 funds. That <br />public hearing was scheduled for this evening (April 22) and was advertised in the Anoka <br />Union. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the enclosed resolution. <br /> <br /> C°unCil Acti°n: <br /> <br /> Motion to: Ch <br /> Adopt Resolution #97-04-{)~1~o reallocate $23,769 of 1995 CDBG funds and <br /> $3,231 of 1997 CDBG funds for planning purposes ($20,000 - Housing and <br /> Environmental Elements to the Comprehensive Plan; $7,000 - senior housing <br /> needs assessment). <br /> <br />Reviewed by: City Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 4/22/97 <br /> <br />/q7 <br /> <br /> <br />
