Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-04-~ A RESOLUTION REALLOCATING 1995 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS AND DESIGNATING USE OF 1997 UNALLOCATED CDBG FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from Anoka County; and WHEREAS, in 1995 the City of Ramsey allocated $23,769.00 for historic preservation of School House No. 28; and WHEREAS, H.U.D. approved the 1995 allocation to Project #571 Historic Preservation; and . WHEREAS, due to various delays the 1995 funds for historic preservation were not encumbered by December 31, 1996; and WltEREAS, in 1997 the City of Ramsey allocated 1997 funds to certain public service agencies and retained a balance of $14,520.00 in unallocated funds; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing for the allocation of 1997 CDBG funds, the Ramsey City Council identified a critical need to upgrade the City's Comprehensive Plan to include Housing and Environmental elements; and WHEREAS, the Rarnsey City Council has also requested a needs assessment for senior housing within the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: i) That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for the reallocation of 1995 CDBG funds in the amount $23,769.00 and the allocation of a portion of the 1997 unallocated CDBG funds ($14,520.00) as follows: Planning: Housing & Environmental elements to the Comprehensive Plan (from 1995 allocation) $20,000.00 Senior Housing Needs Assessment ($3,769 from 1995 and $3,231 from 1997) $7,000.00 Remaining 1997 Unallocated $11,289.00 I I I I ! !
