The General Plan will consist of the following components: <br /> <br />l~~~rhis will include policies and guidelines regarding the use and development of <br />land within and around the City - including the location and densities of residential areas, <br />the development of urban areas and rural areas and their transition, park areas, industrial <br />and commercial development, shoreland, and public uses. It will be specific enough to <br />guide local staff and officials in decisions regarding land development. Maps identifying <br />land use will be included. <br /> <br />· ~af'a~at~'l~a'a~-'ra This will include policies and guidelines regarding streets, traffic <br /> movement, and traffic control within the City. Maps identifying streets based on <br /> functional classifications will be provided. Bike paths and other forms of intermodal <br /> transportation will also be mapped. DSU will rely heavily on transportation studies <br /> already completed for the City. <br /> <br />~ This will include policies and guidelines for the provision of quality <br />public facilities and services m the future. It will encompass levels of service for the <br />various City departments, a component for City parks, and the provision of sanitary and <br />storm sewer utilities and water utilities. Where appropriate, maps will be provided. <br />Previous water distribution and sewer plans will be utilized and referred to in this Section. <br /> <br /> .,.. A recommended implementation program will also be <br />~~d which will assist the City in carrying out'~' plan <br />recommendations.
