Tronson also stated that the access users are becoming more readily
available and are anxious to produce something meaningful and
creative. He stated that Max Wiese and his volunteer crew just
finished their first half hour program last Saturday. Tronson also
noted that he has already finished pre-production for the community
news program and plans to "shoot" the program in studio soon. The
stories that are included in this program are: The Andover Senior
Housing Project, Food Share month, taxes and special DECA
presentation at Champlin Park High School and the establishment of a
crime alert network for community business.

GOVERNMENT PROGRAMMING

Kevin Scattum reported that he is excited about the completion of the
new Andover City Hall. It was noted that with the new City Hall the
Council members would have cable casting in mind. He noted that
there have been conversations with building contractors, officials and
cable installers. He also spoke with administrators and vendors that
see that this job receive the necessary materials to see this job through.
He noted that it is very positive that everyone involved seems to be
looking toward better cable communications and are thinking less
about each individuals vision. He noted that the Commission needs to
be acknowledged also for assisting their fellow commission member in
expediting this project, and making the funds readily available.

Scattum noted that some of the new things that the cable company is
trying differently is that they are going to move all cable related
equipment into one room, installing small speakers in the dais rather
than over commissioners' heads, directing overhead speakers solely in
the direction of the audience and down at the floor, converting to
lavaliere mics at the dais, incorporating wireless mics at podiums,
installing a playback VCR at the presenter's podium and installing
several small monitors in the dais, one for each commissioner or
councilor to view. Some of these changes make obvious sense, other
may not. He noted that they are taking every reasonable precaution to
make sure audio does not find its way back into the microphones to
create and ever amplifying loop. As of now, show time is April 1.

SPORTS PROGRAMMING

Bruce Chaffee reported to the Board of Directors that he extends his
thanks for the Directors who listened to the producers on March 6. He
hopes that you see how far the producing has come in the last few
years. He stated that if anyone still had questions that they should give
him a call anytime. He noted that he could state with confidence that
the QCTV staff has done more with its limited resources than any
other community television station.

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
