I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
i
I

He also noted that it is March Madness and that it is the time of year
when there is an excessive amount of games that need to be covered.
The sectional play downs for all sports happen in consecutive weeks.
The wrestling, hockey and girls basketball all have been decide while
the boys basketball will be determined Friday March ]14. He noted that
KMSP 9 retains exclusive rights to the stated tournament broadcasts.
QCTV-15 coverage ends when sectional play downs end.

Chaffee noted that Georgiann Christiansen of the Anoka Area Baseball
Boosters Club is selling billboards for all Anoka games played at Castle
Field. (This includes summer leagues.) Georgiann has contacted us
about purchasing an advertising billboard for the upcoming year. The
cost for a sign is $400 - $150 for a one time production fee and $250 for
an advertising display. As far as the usual advertising prices go, he
feels this is inexpensive. He noted that he feels purchasing a billboard
is a great way to strengthen our message to the community that QCTV-
15 supports local youth. He noted that if it was approved this year that
the further costs to advertise would be minus the production cost. It
was also noted that QCTV-15 Sports produced a total of 20 hours of
new, finished programming for the month of February.

Motion was made to by Nagel and seconded by Goodman to ACCEPT
THE PROGRAMMING REPORTS.

5 ayes- 0 nays Motion carries.

OLD BUSINESS - 4

4.! ADVERTISING PROPOSAL FOR CASTLE FIELD

Terry O'Connell requested that QCTV-15 advertise during the season at
Castle Field with a QCTV-15 producer sign. O'Connell wanted an
approval to provide AHS with a sign for the entire season that would
be placed on the wall of Castle Field. He stated that it would cost $450
for the first year ($200 to make the sign) and a $250 fee for the next two
seasons.

Jacobson questioned if the statement that O'Connell provided was a
statement that had already been paid or was it just a statement
requesting advertising money.

O'Cormell stated that it was the Booster Club's way of invoicing.

I
!

Peterson commented that his only concern would be that if QCTV-15
provided Anoka with a sign, that QCTV-15 would have to provide all
of the other cities' ball fields with signs too.
