On page three under <br />"Application and Procedure," "3" was changed to "4" (first paragraph, fourth sentence). <br /> <br />Commissioner Asfahl encouraged implementation of a project completion deadline. Commissioner <br />Ostrum suggested an amended clause that would allow the Commission to reserve the right to extend <br />completion deadlines if issues associated with a project came up. <br /> <br />After further discussion, three additional items were agreed upon. 1) The intent of the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund Program is for projects to be completed within the calendar year they received <br />funding 2) Projects not completed within the approved calendar year are not necessarily eligible to <br />receive continued funding. 3) The Commission reserves the right to review uncompleted projects for <br />consideration purposes of funding new projects. <br /> <br />Case #6: 1997 Environmental Festival <br /> <br />As per Commission request, Mr. Boos formulated a sign-up sheet for Commission members to <br />reserve times they will be present at a booth/table sponsored by the Park & Recreation Commission. <br />Commissioners Johns, Cook, and LaMere will cover from 9-11 a.m.; Commissioners Ostrurn, Rolfe, <br />and Asfahl will cover from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Commissioner Droegemueller will cover from 1- <br />2:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Input was received from Commission members about what materials/displays to have available for <br />citizens at the Festival. Suggestions of items and/or information to have available included: aerial <br />photos of City parks, CIP for 1998; questionnaire for citizens to complete; general information sheet <br />on the Commission and its corresponding year-end report and activity(s); color pictures with brief <br />narratives; park and trail plans; maps of trails and parks; and five-year CIP. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Park & Recreation Commission Applications <br /> <br />Mr. Boos talked about respective term limits for Commission members. <br /> <br />Proposed Moratorium Ordinance <br /> <br />Mr. Boos talked about the ordinance at hand for consideration which will be further discussed at the <br />Planning Cormnission's March 25, 1997, meeting.
