Summary of Anticipated Environmental Impacts
Official mapping will introduce only minor near-term environmental impacts and will
have no impacts that warrant special attention in many of the AUAR environmental
impact categories. Any further actions to actually expand and improve TH 10 would
require additional studies and separate environmental approvals. Table 2 serves as a
preliminary screening analysis of environmental impacts that must be covered in the
AUAR. The impact categories that warrant some discussion are identified and are
addressed in more detail in the next sections of this AUAR.

As noted above, building permits requested within the officially mapped area are
subject to the adopted official map and property buyers and property owners are
informed that properties may be acquired for highway purposes. Because of these
conditions, official mapping limits existing property owner's use of their land.
Therefore, issues of just compensation are likely to begin to arise during the process of
official mapping. While this impact is not explicitly covered by the environmental
impact categories included on the AUAR form, this item is addressed in the Draft
Mitigation Plan attached to this document.

Table 2.
