Councilmember Look asked if a funding source has been identified for Dysprosium Street just <br />constructed in 2010. Public Works Director Olson said this was an MSA street and that funds <br />are still available. <br />Councilmember Wise said the CIP will be posted on the website as a plan and is not an actual <br />schedule. Finance Officer Lund said staff will include a disclaimer. <br />Mayor Ramsey agreed, especially for 2015 projects. <br />Mayor Ramsey questioned some of the projects for needs versus wants. Public Works Director <br />Olson said staff has not scheduled any truck replacements for 2011, as they try to hold off if <br />possible and continue repairs until the next year. <br />Mayor Ramsey questioned the need for a telephone system for City Hall for $200,000. <br />Council asked for a clearer breakdown of project totals by year instead of only the total project <br />cost. <br />Councilmember McGlone inquired about spending $20,000 for fire suppression at Fire Station 1 <br />now instead of waiting for a planned expansion. Fire Chief Kapler said since there are no current <br />plans to expand, the fire suppression is needed now. <br />Councilmember Wise asked about the listed site acquisitions. Public Works Director Olson said <br />the site acquisitions were included in 2007 for the possibility of utilizing MSA to acquire the <br />right -of -way for Sommerset Meadows. <br />Finance Officer Lund noted the developer is listed as the funding source for this project. <br />Councilmember Wise asked about the water treatment plant. Public Works Director Olson said <br />this is just a placeholder and not an actual approval. He said staff has thought about a location <br />by the fire station and whether we continue with ground water treatment or surface water <br />supplies we should begin to look at that land. <br />Mayor Ramsey asked about the Healthquest site acquisition. Finance Officer Lund said this is a <br />placeholder in the TIF budgets as the district decertifies in 2012 and the amount is listed at what <br />it could be acquired for. <br />Councilmember Wise noted this site has a lot of geothermal potential and asked staff to share <br />that marketing information with Rehbein. <br />Councilmember McGlone said he would prefer to see portables continued to be used at the parks <br />instead of constructing a permanent bathroom structure for $40,000. Public Works Director <br />Olson said Council had requested that staff make our current parks usable instead of investing in <br />new parks.
