While the City is not yet in receipt of the referenced $399,000, City Council, however, did allocate $40,000 in Landfill Trust Fund interest earnings as part of the CIP for the purpose of initiating development of the park. A minimum of the three firms that commonly do work for the City of Ramsey will be directly asked to submit proposals. They are: -- Hakanson Anderson Associates -- John Oliver and Associates -- MSA Inc. The request for proposal will ask for a not-to-exceed cost to review the existing grading and drainage plan and prepare additional sheets as necessary to generate a document on which to bid. In addition, proposers will be asked to submit an hourly rate for both staking and project inspection, as well as a total project estimate. This is the standard format the City has been using for public improvements. After City Council selects the engineering firm and bidding documents are prepared and Council advertises for bids, staff will bring back for Council approval, the bids for the grading, restoration, curb, gutter, and bituminous and a revised park budget based upon this new information.
