The County is confident · The MetroEolitan Council will expect that any MUSA expansion that exceeds these forecasts will require additional facilities or prograzns to accommodate the added demand, or that demand will be modified to allow the metropolitan highway system to function adequately. [f the committed roadway improvements are not implemented, traffic resulting from that growth is ~mlikely to be accommodated in 2015 at an · - acceptable level of service. However, as this may very well be the case in much of the reg-ion as well as in Anoka County, the County does not expect to be. able to resolve this problem alone. State,· re~onal and local cooperation will be essential, both'in system planning and in funding commitments. Anoka County expects to address these issu~ between now and 2005, takSng advantage of that time to evaluate system planning and funding options. Within Anoka County, we anticipate evaluating enhancements including ramp metering on TH 10, improved transit and park-and-ride facilities, land use options to increase local employment and reduce vekicle miles of travel (VlvlW), and others.
