A crawler <br />tractor with a blade shall be used to move th,.: sand into place. <br />At least 6 inches of sand shall be kept under the tracks to <br />rn~uim~ze compaction of the plowed layer. The sand layer <br />upon which the filter material is placed shal] be level. <br /> <br />A depth of at least 9 inches of filter materis] shall be placed <br />over the bed area below the distribution pipe. <br /> <br />Distribution of effluent over the filter material shall be 1.25 <br />inch diameter perforated pipe under pressure from a <br />manifold. <br /> <br />16. The quantity of effluent per p,mp dose shall be at least 150 <br /> gallons per bedroom for dwellings. For other <br /> establishments, the dose shall be at least 25% of the <br /> estimated or measured daily sewage flow. <br /> <br />17. At least 2 inches of filter material shall be placed over the <br /> distribution pipes. The top of the filter material shall be level <br /> in all directions. <br /> <br />18. Straw or marsh hay to an uncompacted depth 4 inches shall <br /> be placed over the filter material. <br /> <br />19.
